What do you think of my photography? Do you think I have...what do the kids call it..."skillz"?

I'm a junior in high school and recently I've taken a liking to photography. I really, really enjoy it and I think that I want to make something out of it. So, I want to get the opinion of the general Polls & Surveys public. (You kids tend to know your stuff)

So have a look at these two sets:

So, after looking at them, what strikes you?

Do you think I'm begging to develop a personal style?

What am I doing well, and what could I improve on?

And lastly, do you think I could have a successful future in the field of photography?

Oy, haha. I know everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I'm not discrediting them, but "really, really sucky" is completely meaningless to me. What is sucky? Compositionally undesirable? Bad color scheme? If you wanna be helpful, please be helpful.

I think the sucky person is jealous of your obvious skills. You are brilliant, I hope you turn this into a career. Lizzie.

definatly. try entering your pics on the comcast pic of the day contest. they pick pictures like the ones you take. :]

WOW! YOU ARE A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER. YOU SHOULD ENTER iN SOME CONTEST... YOU WOULD MOST DEFiNiTELY WiN!!

GOOD LUCKK (:

You got mad skillz!

I love your photos! I think you're "stupid, dope, fresh" Is that what the kids say now a days? I'm not as hip to the jive like I once was.

Some of them are pretty good....some are really really sucky. I suggest not getting so close up. The one with the jars was okay but it would have been much better if you were a tiny bit farther away.

Oo you got a real nice camera.

You kind of need to center your subject and kind of put the focus on them. They are either blending in or you just have a picture of the corner of something. Sometimes that's okay (like the one of the curtain is fine) but I don't like the edge of that red flower. It's an edge of a red flower....not that great.

since you're just a beginner there's plenty of time to improve.

i can not believe you are in jr high. you are amazing. you have great taste. your positions for the shots are great and i love the close up work. you will make a great pro at this.

Yes, you are really good!!!!!! I love your different perspectives

p.s. no one says "skillz"

do like your work , and the girl was a good shot also

they are a good place to start from. work on your focus, a lot of your pictures are blurry, some of the blurriness is you, and some of it is due to too much going on and you not focusing on less subjects or just one out of the whole. interesting angles on some of them.

I'm no professional but I like them... I think you should go for it... I see great stuff here already... and for you to go forward and develop your already great skill, you will go far.

skill is acquired over time and practice, but you do have an eye and a willingness to try different things...the cat's face is really a nice profile and well done, the tail is different and i think bold
take some classes you'll not only learn some new and interesting things you'll have a gaggle of fun
lizzie spoke highly of you that is not to be taken lightly she has an artist's eye and is very picky about what she calls good

You have a creative flair that's for sure and an instinct for composition.

Try taking an evening class in photography it will improve your camera skills and it will give you a more realistic answer to the last part of your question than you'll get here on YA.

I enjoyed looking at them, thanks for sharing.
