What should I do after school!?

I don鈥檛 know what to do, I鈥檓 getting a bachelors degree in Education in May.I don鈥檛 know what the next step is. I want to either go back to school for dental hygiene, cosmetology or photography. Or should I go back to school to get my masters or take a year off and work and pay some of those college loans!?. I don鈥檛 know what to do!!

Well, if you're planning on getting your Master's in education, you can do both things (continue on with your education while starting to earn money). Most states are so desperate for qualified teachers that they'll pay for your Master's while giving you full employment (with full pay and full benefits).

If your planned Master's is in another field, you might benefit from taking the year off, paying down your student debts and gaining real-world experience (some Master's programs, especially the best ones, prefer people with experience). Also, right now employment opportunities abound and salaries are good, so you'll find plenty of work and reasonable compensation.

Next year, a Recession is looming (so employment will constrict and salaries drop), but you'll be isolated from that because you'll be back in school. Once you're done with your Master's, the economy should be in full recovery and you'll again have access to good job opportunities -especially considering your additional academic credentials.
