OMG!I JUST REALIZEd THAT I MIGHT WANNA DO PHOTOGRAPHY AS A CAREER, I JUST STARTED COLLEGE AND I AM CURRENTLY? |
MAJORED AS A COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR BUT I THINK IM TIRED OF IT?? AND TODAY I JUST FOUND OUT THAT A PHOTOGRAPHY SCHOOL IN MY CITY OFFERS FINANCIAL AID!!!!!WHAT SHOULD I DO??? I WANNA SHOW A PRO MY PICTURES BEFORE I DECIDE!!!???? First off stop screaming to the screen, next up calm yourself down and lastly visit your doctor to have check up on you for drugs that you may have been using recently. Well you have to concider after college what the chances are of getting a photographer job. I mean it is hard to get a good job being a photographer. But my advice is rent a gallery space, and put and ad for it in the paper, and show your best pictures there. Remember you want to fallow your dreams but if you just decided today that you wanted to be a photographer then it seems like you didn't give it all that much thought. like omg you have to be like good First, you cannot expect a good comment on an amateur photo with no education in photography, so you would practically be wasting time with that. Think of the available jobs for photography that will be there when you graduate. It is not a huge demand due to there being so many photographers around. However, in computer technology, there will always be a huge selection of endless jobs and careers in the market. Finish what you started first, and then if you still have a passion for photography, then pursue it. It sounds as if you have not been in college long enough to have an idea of what you will encounter in the degree for computers. The first year or two will bore you bc you will have to go through the basics first and foremost. You have not had time to give it a chance yet. Wait until you get into the classes that are hands on and give you the skills of what it is you will be doing first before you decide. Just a thought for you to think about, the few I know who went into photography had to go back for another career in order to make their living because of such a small demand for it, so they do photography on the side. Think of photography more as a hobby instead of a career. |
