Accidentily pressed self-timer on Yashica FX-3?

I use a Yahica FX-3 camera which is borrowed from school for my photography class, and my mom accidentily pressed the self-timer lever/button and it like whirred for a second. I don't want my roll of film to be messed up, so what should I do?

At worst, it would mess up 1 frame, not the whole roll.

For the self timer to actually trip the shutter, the camera has to be wound. And for it to actually trip the shutter, you have to move the self-timer lever more than just a little bit. If you only move it a tiny bit, it whirrs and that's it. It won't trip the shutter.

Essentially, you don't have to do anything to fix your mom touching the lever, unless she moved it all the way over.

To use these mechanical self timers, you have to:
1) wind the film (which cocks the shutter).
2) move the self-timer lever all the way over
3) start the timer (some by just tipping it forward; others use a tiny button).

Press it again to turn it off

If it's similar to most other mechanical timers, you turn the lever to set it then press the button to release it.Sometimes if you don't turn the lever far enough round it runs down but doesn't fire the shutter...If you didn't hear a click after the whirr,I doubt the shutter fired..Just try to take the next picture,if you have to wind the film on,you've wasted an exposure with the self timer,if not,the shutter didn't open..either way you're onto the next exposure, and back to normal.....
