What is a reasonable price....................... |
I've always LOVED taking pictures and have been into photography for a while. A friend of mine saw pictures I posted of myself on my website, and he offered me $150 to do a photo shoot for him. I gladly did it and it turned out amazing. He loved it... everyone loved it. It was the first photo shoot I ever did. And it was this summer. It took 2-3 days total... editing and everything. And now I have a friend who wants me to take engagement photos. She saw the pictures I took from the photo shoot. But I'll be in school taking 15 hours. I still am really eager to do it. Do you think asking for maybe $200 instead (or perhaps more) is fair... since the 1st photoshoot was during the summer, and I had more time? Plus, photo shoots nowadays cost hundreds / thousands of dollars as it is........ I think I'm being quite reasonable........ right? do what i do...give a flat rate which covers a minimum of so many hours (lets say five) the an hourly fee for every hour thereafter. You do your set hours and are gauranteed the money on that...everything after that is butter. Source(s): feeding my family the best way I can and still have fun with it. not to sure how to answer you, if your that good at taking pictures and are using lights and so forth charge what the local pros charge, a photoshot to me means lights, equipment, an assistant maybe, talent maybe (then theres wardrobe, make up etc) so if your professional charge professional rates, if not what you feel is fair for all (both the same, different amounts) a that is fine if she says anything then tell her that it takes more time so you need more money |
