ok... i want to start a petition... and i want to do it right. the reason fo wanting to start one is cause my school is firing 4 teachers dur to budget cut. they are firing a gym teacher, a spanish teacher and 2 art teachers. none of the gym or spanish classes will have to be canceled (there are plenty of other spanish/gym teachers to take over for them).... but firing 2 of the art teachers would only leave 1 left so ALL 3-D art classes will have to be canceled along with other such as photography.... i want to make a petition to where NO classes will have to be canceled...cause i dont think it is fair to have to cancle the vast majority of the art program.... so my question is what would you write for this petition and what would people have to sign (name, phone , address??) this has to be done quick and RIGHT school is almost over and thats the only time we got to do this so any info would help.... thx and sry for all the long writting
Begin with a cover note or letter, state your cause and how many people have signed the petition. Then just begin getting signatures. I suggest keeping it all condensed into one petition instead of passing out many papers. After you have obtained enouigh signatures, give it to the highest authority you can reach, respectfully, and state your cause when presenting the petition to them. If needed, make copies of the FINAL petition to distribute.
just write pretty much everything you wrote and have everyone sign if they agree.
