Tips for an up-and-coming writer? |
I''ve been writing an assortment of novels and short stories since sixth grade (Junior in high-school now) and am apprenticing in photography to help me get imagery down. Any tips about avoiding writer's block and sticking with an idea untill the end? Don't listen to anyone, but your own heart. If you don't have passion; you might as well not even start. Don't write to make money or achieve fame, because it will most likely never happen. You have to write because something inside of you tells you to. Source(s): Because fiction authors just do it better! Read a lot, observe a lot, watch a lot, listen a lot, and eat proper food so that your brain will function at its best. Also, remember to exercise as good physical health surely helps to keep a sound mind. Good luck to you! Well I'm also writting a book and when I get writters block .I just do something else and think of what to right about and I keep a note pad and write all of my ideas down. And I write it down later. I am also writing a book and I suggest that you make sure it is about a topic you really enjoy or about something that has happened to you or a close friend. Also I would recomend doing your research. I don't believe in writer's block. You just sit down and write. You do it because you have to tell the story that's in your head. Write, write, write....every day even if it's only a list of what you ate for breakfast. |
