Photography ideas?

Im getting pictures taken with my husband and 2 month old daughter and i was wondering if you guys had any ideas on what to wear or positions for posing? I know the photographer will help out alot when we get their but i just want to be prepared somewhat. ideas? By The Way it will be inside of a studio probably with just a plain white or black background..

Youll do a lot of Holding the baby - eg; cheek to cheek, kissing baby, pic of baby with mom or dads hands behind the head, pic of just babys hand holding your finger (get one of this with each parent) one of just the babies feet. You can do one of just the feet (of all 3 of you) - it goes like this - Mom sits in front of dad (on floor) and put baby in front of mom, line up all of the bare feet and take the picture of the feet only (or ask the photographer to crop it later) its so cute and sweet and personal.

and just a tip - if the baby gets fussy don't panic! It happens. Give it a few good tries and if baby is too fussy and needs a nap/food etc just reschedule if don't want pictures of the baby with a red teary face (though i've taken them and people still buy them up!) I kind of like the crying pics - it just makes the picture that much more of a story to tell.

I saw this beautiful picture with a new baby and his parents a couple years ago. It was in black and white, and it's called the kissing chain. It's so beautiful. Its mainly a picture of the faces... The baby is at the bottom...and the mom is kissing the baby's head. Then the dad kisses the mommy's head. I would try to find one for you, but I am at work and everything except Y! answers is blocked. Try photobucket, for an example. Its so beautiful! I can't wait to get mine done, EVENTUALLY! lol

I'm sure the photographer has much more to say about the best clothing for their studio, just call them to ask what works best for their studio setting. And don't wear something too colorful or glitter unless you want to look like family of clowns.
