Help with business name? |
ok i thought of a name for my business which does webdesign and photography but it seems like someone else thought of the name too but there just using it for a small music recording studio in another state. ive searched for a trademark and there is none. can i use this name? also can anyone help me think of a new name? ive been sitting here for a few hours trying to figure out another name Here's what I tell my clients to do. Invite over about ten of your best friends for a wine tasting party at your house early in the evening and make sure you have a designated driver or two. After everyone has had a glass or two, and start to giggle tell them you are looking for a name for your business. You'd be surprised at how creative they become. They more they giggle the more chance there is of something very good coming out of it. Good Luck How about Stillshot.com.I think you can use the original name if you receive permission,or you run an ad in the paper for 30 days to advertise that you are going to use the name,if there is no challenge you are good to go.But i would advise researching this option to be absolutely clear on the law. I'm not sure about the Legal side of this Subject, but I would agree with the guy before and Check it out, Properly. But I had an Idea for a name, 'PagesandPics.com', or something to that effect. If there is no registered trademark you are good to go, You can also register your business under your desired name so that you have legitament reason to use the name incase any issues may arise later. I also have my own clothing line and did some research on registering names and such. I have my clothing brand name registered in my current state but it does not apply nationally.
