Have you ever meet a photographer that was a *** hole? Do you think that all are like that? |
so what do you think? I'm 15 and have doing a photography for about 6 months now, and over the weekend I went to a studio to watch a photographer (and by the way the studio wasn't his but a friends) to do some work of some models...It went well till the end when he was going though my camera looking at the pictures...and well he came across a picture of me and my friend (My friend is in her 30's) And well when one of the models saw the picture she was like " haha I met her at the fair..I bet shes a high up keep b****!) then he was like you f***ing her dude! then a little Later on he asked, say you going to ask her if she can come down so I can shoot some photos of her? That I think that pissed me off the most of all his comments. So what do you think? should I do anything? Tell him I'm pissed at what he said? I mean this was really demeaning to her...and shes one of the nicest people I've ever met. By the way heres my photography... http://www.flickr.com/photos/dannysphoto... This guy needs to be let go and never come back to the studio if he was working in my studio. That kind of language and attitude is not to be tolerated. -My answer is no, we are not all like that. Don't judge all books based on the one you read. I would report this guy to the studio, and if the studio takes attitude, then I would report them to the Better Business Bureau so they can black list him and the studio. Don't let this go. Just don't think all photographers are that way, we are not. Oh, and by the way, for 15, you have a great eye. Love the frog. Keep it up! Source(s): My own experience as a Studio photographer and 16+ years experience in the field. Yea maybe you should confront him of his attitude but dont confront him by being rude just tell him how you felt about his comments and that they were'nt neccesary. May he'll get the picture and feel guilty about what he said. I would just ignore him and cut him off. There is no sense in dragging out the issue if you didn't say anything in reply to him then. I am really commenting, though, because you do INCREDIBLE work. Great job! Live and learn is what I say. You have just learned that people judge others on many things and not just on their professional ability. If he has this attitude, he will no go as far as he otherwise might. The other side of the coin is that he has apparently taken you into the fold - in his mind at least - and talked mano-y-mano about the model. It's too bad that this is how his mind works as there must have been many other things he could have said about her that what he chose to say. Move on is what I say. And I agree - everyone who reads this ought to click on your link and look at your stuff. Especially anyone who thinks you need to spend $1,000 on a camera to take a decent picture. Don't be discouraged and follow a different path is all I can suggest. You are better than him as a person and it will eventually make a difference. theres good and bad people everywhere, sounds unprofessional to me, maybe he thinks you are older than 15? anyway its not professional, and you appear to know the difference, so that will serve you well. as far as glamour fotogs go I really like them, but there has to be a few creeps doing it - I mean it is pretty girls and stuff Go forth and be all you can be, your judgement sounds fine to me Loverly images you are going great a THERE ARE MENY PHOTOGRAPHERS THAT ARE UP THEM SELF'S MAYBE IT IS THAT YOU HAVE TO BELEVE IN WHAT YOU DO 100% OR MAYBE THEY WOULD BE LIKE THAT IN ANY TRADE. i AM A PHOTOGRAPHER AND I TRY AND HELP PEOPEL WHEN AND WERE I CAN. IF YOU ARE THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE WORLD YOU CAN'T DO IT ALL AND IF YOU ARE NICE OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS ON THE WAY UP THEY WILL BE NICE TO YOU IF YOU END UP ON THE WAY DOWN. |
