Mac Vs. PC? |
okay, i am going to college in the fall. i'm looking to buy a mac instead of a PC. I am a Studio Art Major, with a concentration in Photography. any explinational advice as to why a mac would be the better choice? Go with the mac. It's a great deal better for graphic design, and just in case the programs your school uses are only compatible with Windows, you can have Windows on your mac. You'd run it side by side with a program called Parallels. If you wait until you are registered with the school, you can buy your mac from Apple's website for $100 cheaper for being a student. A mac comes with most of the photo editing software you'll need for you photography course. Source(s): http://www.apple.com If you are going to do digital desgin, go with Macs. They have more tools for that sort of thing. go wit da mac It comes with more programs and there some programs that are built in, that would usually cost $1000. Mac ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! Why to get a Mac - because you want to be one of the cool kids at school!!! Actually, one thing to look at is what type of computer is used at the school you will be attending, in their Studio Art Department. Then you should get the same type. That way, the software you use for your classes will be exactly the same as what you have on your own computer, making it easier for you to learn the software. Another consideration, is that if you go to work after getting out of school, you will probably be required to use a Mac, so that's another reason to learn on a Mac. |
