Outdoor glamour photography locations? |
I need locations for outdoor glamour photography, as I don't have a studio/lights. No, I don't want to do a park or anything akin to it since I've done plenty of that already. Any ideas? Here are a few suggestions: - car lots - they are closed on Sundays in our area - equipment lots - I'm thinking Cats and back hoes - indutrial lots and buildings - office buildings - marinas - you'll probably need permission - public transit Nudes in nature, your tired of that? Your sick man sick. Can you give me a link to your photos? Outdoor Glamour makes me think of soccer moms wearing nice jewelry. Go wine tasting and do shoots throughout. Most wineries are beautifully designed, decorated and landscaped. Instant props. Try early morning for street shots at an outdoor cafe or near weird graffiti on a wall or funky business fronts. The lighting will be blueish so you may wanna use a flash. I don't like shooting for parks and correcting for all that green. Personally, I like urban settings, especially if the fashion fits the environment. If you have a good model that can stay perfectly still, the effect of a crystal clear model with blurry people walking by, a long exposure shot can look great. Takes some practice, though. Generally public property is a safe bet, like government complexes. They can have some interesting architecture from classical to ultra modern, depending on where you are at. I would just check with security first to find any rules that you might have to abide by. Museums can also be fun. Usually the grounds are well kept making for some great backgrounds. Depending on the museum, they might have extra fees for photographers. Historical sites can add a local flavor if that is something you want to include. These can fall into the public property or museum category. Whenever you go to one of these places, ALWAYS ask about special rules or fees that are needed. Even if there are not any, usually the people in charge appreciate you asking anyway. (I have had several fees waved because I was being as courteous as possible.) Hope this is some help. Professional Photographer for 6+ years. allyway, boardwalk/beach, junkyard, boating areas, athletic fields, trainyard. you may be aware of this already, but just remmeber to look at everything in your viewfinder carefully. Make so there are no name brands in the background. You may have to get permission, or get a lease signed in order to photograph in certain areas. |
