How to set up a photo taking studio for photography? |
How to set up a photo taking studio for photography? Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa. picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera. It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips. It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google Download it free in here: http://www.adcenter.net.cn/google-picasa... Good Luck! Source(s): http://www.adcenter.net.cn/google-picasa... hard to say. it depends on what kind of studio photo you are talking about. but all studio needs good lighting and space to move about. people photography needs bigger space than product photography (unless you are photographing cars) and you need big background to accomodate the models. there are plenty of choices if you look at the sites such as www.bhphotovideo.com or www.adorama.com product photography needs a studio table and of cos, lights. also available from the two websites. or if you know that kind of equipment you are looking for, you might be able to find in ebay too. how to set up? its really up to you because there are many different kinds of studios. but the rough guide is to place your background or studio table around the center of your room so that you could have the back of the background or the table lit for certain effects or positioning of the lights. and also to give more space on the right and the left as well as the front (where the camera and you would usually be positioned) some space to move around. First find a place for a studio. Decide on the space based on people photography or product photography. If it is people photography, then you have to also look at a place for change room, make up etc. Remember, the background should be atleast five feet away from the person so that it comes out blurred. Howver, you can also have a collapsable studio, which is available in the market. You have to buy lights. Atleast one main light, and one near it. You have to buy a variable power pack for lighting controls. You can buy a softbox for getting the model softly lit. For individual focus, you can also buy a snoot. Remember, depending on your budget you can buy some basic lights and then later on add to it. I guess you should be already having the camera system. Buy a sturdy tripod which is essential. Buy a cable release - it will be of help in shooting at slower shutter speeds. Backgrounds: These are the least costly items. Take a few plain backgrounds and some others. You can add on to them. If budget is a problem, then you can just have some plain cloth also. Reflectors: You need some reflectors to reflect light into the shaded areas. You can also have black reflectors to reduce the intensity of light i.e. to create some shadow on some particular areas. Reflectors can be cheap. You can have some thermocol sheets to substitute for reflectors. You can try out with white sheets or reflective sheets pasted on cardboards if budget is a problem. They work fine. Buy some items which you can use as a prop for the models. |
