I'm looking to starting my own studio photography business and want to know where to buy supplies? |
I'm looking for print boxes, folios, and a commercial grade film processor/printer, like the kind they use in Wal Mart and such... Go to any camera shop, they usually have a place where people leave business cards, flyers, etc. when they are trying to sell photo equipment. I don't know if they will have very much commercial stuff though... I just know they always have a lot of advertisements for darkroom equipment. Well, first off, you are probably already on the best source for any needs in starting up a studio. The Internet is the best source for information. However, I would not suggest building a film studio. Digital is better, newer, and more environmentally friendly. In my experience doing film processing may soon become extinct. Digital may be the only way to go. I was involved in photographic sales from 1973 till 1993. I was also a Certified Photographic Counselor with the Photo Marketing Association from 1978 till 1993. I have been involved with photography since 1967 till now. A digital photography studio will involve a good computer, printer and camera. Lighting, backgrounds and reflectors can be purchased at any well run camera store and would work with either type of system. Any type of equipment you may need can also be purchased online. I like the site below- so far they have proven reliable, and usually have the best deals on anything related to printing supplies... http://www.cpaclicks.com/redirect.asp?a=... |
