Fun assignments for 12 year old girl aspiring in photography?

I'm trying to help her learn to take some creative pictures, she needs some guidance...are there any fun tips or assignments I can teach her with?

Pick a different subject each week (day) .... say....

"shoes" .. with or without feet in them, other people's shoes... shoes in stores..

"Red" ... all things red... (or any other color)

windows, flowers, animals,

Extreme close ups, fill the frame with your subject.

walk ten paces outside your door... and take photos with the same focal length, in all directions, just standing in that 1 spot.

A good book for her would be, "Learning to See Creatively" by Bryan Peterson... it would help you help her to see things differently.

You could have her play around with different colors and tones like sepia, black and white or even night shot.

And you could have her take pics of things you usually don't think of as photogenic like a dust bunny or a lamp.

Believe it!

Does she have a Barbie?
There ya go.
Set up a scene, get the light right (NO FLASH!) and she is up and running.

A PINHOLE CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!! there are about a bazillion websites that tell you how to make them. also, thigs from the veiw of a shoe.

Have her take photo shots of an object or a scene and different shots. Especially using black and white photography. for example if she was shooting a house, have her shoot the front door, in another frame another corner of the house, part of the roof etc. standing in the same area. When the photos are developed, put them overlaping others to form the whole picture. Tear some edges and matt and frame. Makes an interesting work of art.
You could have her shoot some areas of perspective. Perhaps along side of a long fence to a vanishing point or at the top of a staircase looking down. Public buildings would be a good place to look.
Have her shoot photos of someone in different positions and lay out into one big framed photo looking like it was in motion when you are reading it left to right. for example a hand being shot straight up, in the next photo is is moving slowly to the right then at another angle etc. like a flip book.

Have her shoot a photo of a flower. One would be at close range and keep shooting the same flower zooming on out. Cut each photo into squares from small to large and layer. It will look like large petals on the outside frame while it goes down to the the center of the flower is actually the whole flower but would be a smaller version of it.

Have someone stand further away in the back ground and another person in the foreground holding their hand open. At the angle being shot it will look like the person in the foreground is able to fit the other in the palm of her hand.

Here are some other ideas

One day, all her photos have to come from a worm's view of the world. The next day, tell her to take photos from a bird's view.

Teach her the rule of thirds have her take photos with that rule in mind.

Get her to explain why each photo is important or not and what she can do to improve it.

Hey there!! I dunno. When you find out let me know. I'm learning too. :)
Have fun helping her!!

-----edit-----
My friends niece is doing a project for school Flat Stanley and she is sending it to me. I am going to pose Stanley in front of the tree and the fires house with my hubby, in choir practice at church and a bunch of other places. Maybe she could make a paper doll and do that with her. Stanley is really only a cardboard person made my an 8 year old.. Shh..... he doesn't know it. I'll take pics and show you.
