Photography show help?

hi
I am just starting out in photography and at this event would i be able to get tip and help.

http://www.focus-on-imaging.co.uk/

If you ask the right people questions you will get some information. A few years at photography school would be better.

What do you feel you need help with, specifically? And what format of photography are you using?

if u have a digital or slr camera just take pictures around. Candid shots, pose shots etc. Even experiment with abstracts etc. But try to get interesting photos. Like for example when I was in Barcelona,Spain and the Greek Isles I took pics of interesing homes, closeups of doors and arches.

I have been to several galleries and shows were my wife has submitted her work as well as my work which has a huge art auction/gallery and unless the artist is present to discuss the photo and different setting etc etc its hard to gain a lot of info. It's like a wine and cheese party and people there are there to buy art and may be difficult to learn. Don't get me wrong theses events are wonderful but if you really want to learn take some classes and or go to photo clinics.

this show would be better for you if you are looking into selling images http://www.pbf.org.uk/
It is in London - 7th 8th may 2008
good luck

Hi, a great book that I found online is called Digital Photography Secrets.

Definitely go! Be ready to answer all questions...be prepared to tell the story of each photo you exhibit...have questions ready for people (think about what you want to learn/ improve upon). You don't need schooling for this, you can read books and try different things on your own and then post on-line (p.o.t.n., dyxum, etc...) to get critiques and also at different shows. Best of luck!

What happened to the BIG event, where you photographed 3500 people a couple of months ago ???

It won't teach anything about Photography, it will tell you more than you need to know about equipment.

Chris
