Help with Photoshop and Photography? |
I want to make my pictures into photography quality using photoshop. Any tips on how to brighten and just overall photography quality? The photograph starts with the eye of the photographer, next he/she uses their skills to get the exact exposure and composition they want on the film or sensor. From that point on, there is no manipulation. Photoshop is only a transitional tool, not a program to "save" a bad photograph. Just like in the darkroom. A properly exposed negative can be printed "straight" without dodging or burning if the photographer has taken the time to expose and process the film correctly. Photo schools teach students how to do that time after time, every time. Perfect your camera skills and you will find that you will not need to spend hours working on an image that could have been great. Source(s): Editorial, sports and glamour photographer. You must have a high resolution files to work with, otherwise, it will take you a long long time to photo re-touch the whole picture. Which means you will go spot by spot to fill in and change the colors for everything. 300 DPI will be good for printing and modify in photoshop try image adjustments..Brightness & contrast or the level/curves feature..if color is an issue..try the variations or color balance filters. u can go to the enhance section and go to brightness,, change the contrast and brightness to your liking,,and then go again to enhance ,, and change the saturation to either pull out color or add more color... To brighten an image in Photoshop, just select the layer, and go to Image>Adjustments>Brightness and Contrast, AND/OR Image>Adjustments>Levels. You should be able to adjust the brightness from there. Agree with fhotoace. Learning how to take better picture will be way more useful than learning how to fix a bad one. In any case, if you photoshop it too much, you can actually turn a not so bad picture to look bad. And a good picture doesn't need to be photoshop to be good. Anyways, if you want to use photoshop for some special effect or visual art, there are many books out there that teach you photoshop. You'll be amazed what you can do with photoshop. |
