SLR photography tips ?? |
I own a canon EOS 10d im not bad with it and have had some amzing results. im 14 and want to know more about what i can do and how to use it more proffesionally. please dont talk complecated but please tell me the facts and how to deal with compasition and what is the best lense for costal views ??? thank you for your time. wide angle for coastal views a cheap way of being creative is to get a set of fuilters for your lens ( Cokin is a reputable make ) which let you alter colours and creat special effects. . Same answer as last question Go to www.worldphotographyforum.com It it a very friendly and helpful site When photographing still-lifes, eg. flowers, cool-looking things, try to get in as close as possible, fill the whole frame with what you're try to focus on. When shooting portraits, try to use a small aperture setting (eg F/ 2), this allows the background to become blurred, giving the face more attention. For costal beach views, bring a wide-angle lens and a tripod. Try shooting only during dawn or dusk, avoid the times when the sun is really high, the lighting will be too harsh. ANother cool thing to try on the beach is to go out when the sun has set, but still has light out, then put the camera on a tripod and make sure you get the very edge of the water into frame. Then set the shutter speed to a few seconds, put ISO on the 800 or so and take the picture. You will get a very cool effect of the water. A good rule of thumb of composition is the "rule of one thirds", hard to explain without figures so just search for it online. Painters and photographers have used this rule for a long time. Lastly, what I've said should only be a reference, the 10D is a wonderful camera and you should experiment on your own and develop your own style of shooting. Photographer cnet.com has alot of tips for slr cameras The lens you have! It's not the lens, but your vision. The lens is not the bottleneck. You can take any picture you desire. A camera is a tool. What do you want to say? |
