Girls:: please help with makeup question...!!!?

Does it really make a differece having airbrush makeup for the bridal portraits... Im having aribrush makeup for the wedding... however, i don't know if I should pay airbrush makeup (which is usually a lil bit more expensive than the regular one) for the bridal portraits as well. Some ppl have told me photographers can fix any imperfections and make you look good on the pics.
Has anyone had airbrush makeup that can answer my question?
Thansk!

honestly not really. but if you're going to get your makeup done, get the most bang for your buck! is money even an issue for you? if its not, do whatever you want! :D

but for me, i was working to keep my costs modest. fortunately i'm pretty good with makeup, so i went to the mac website as well as makeupalley.com and poured through reviews for different kinds of makeup for weddings!

i ended up purchasing mac full coverage foundation and a stippling brush, and a few other things and did my own makeup.

also it depends on the look you're going for. for me, i wanted a FLAWLESS, but NATURAL face. like a beautiful young woman getting married.

thinking about the look youre going for will help you decide. if you want a very formal look, go all out with a professional. if you're keeping it more natural that is easy to do on your own with practice, AND you'll get to keep the make up. :)

but check out makeupalley.com i love it for product reviews before you buy!! and check out youtube- yep, youtube! search things like 'wedding makeup tutorial' or 'air brush makeup demo' and you'll be able to see what they look like in action!

good luck!

I have never had the airbrush but a lot of my clients have and they love it (I'm a wedding planner)! The majority of my clients only get it done for the wedding itself as they feel that those pictures really deserve the extra boost of beautiful :) ! Some photographers can fix any imperfections, but they usually charge you. It really depends on your budget- if you have paid for everything else and are sure there is nothing else you want for your wedding, your husband, wedding party, etc and have money to spare, then opt for the airbrush.
If you'd rather not pay the extra cost, it's really not that noticeable if you don't have the airbrush for your bridal portraits. The purpose of airbrush is to make sure your makeup stays on the WHOLE day.. but you don't need that for your portraits. Good luck and if you need anything else, feel free to message me.

I loved my air brushed make-up! I only use Bare Minerals so the thought of going to MAC or another make-up counter was out completely. The air brush foundation had a light feel to me & I never needed to reapply!

I would absolutely do it for your wedding. Instead of doing separate bridal portraits, why not have those done on your wedding day too? I have not heard of anyone doing this on a second day. (unless they had a reshoot because the original photography was awful)

I used airbrush, and I absolutely loved it. More than just looking better in pictures, it is soo light on your skin and makes you forget your wearing make-up. And at the end of the night I didn't break out because of having a million layers of foundation on my skin.

Yes, photographers can touch up imperfections in photos.

Its up to you if you want that makeup done. It can give you the flawless look for the big day!

Photographers can indeed fix any imperfections so unless you have very noticeable facial flaws, skip the airbrush makeup for portraits AND the wedding. And... go to a good make-up consultant and do your makeup yourself
