Pro photographers, can you critique this portrait please?

Please be honest... what it your overall impression? Specifically, about the quality, lighting, composition, post-processing, subject, model, etc? Does it look professional vs. amateur? Does it look over processed or does the processing make it interesting? What might you have done differently (if anything)? Honesty and candor is appreciated.

Please respect that the photo belongs to me (i.e. please don't steal it and claim credit!)

Thank you for your time and input.

p.s., please be sure to enlarge the photo to 100% when viewing to see full detail!

I like it for what it is, which to me is more a piece of digital art rather than photography. To nit pick, the nose looks kind of odd at the tip, and the right eye, (the face in shadow), to me should be more dark to match the shadow on the face. The eye just looks too bright in the dark area of the face, which to me just looks too un-natural, but again, it is more digital art than photography, so that is not really a bad thing. I think the photo "works" overall though... pretty cool!

I looked at the other 2 pilot images you have and in the 1st I can see reflections, washed out foggy looking areas from either copying or scanning and in the 2nd I see what could be scratches or a hair going across an object or two. Plus, they look flat, like flat art, when scanned or copied. The 3rd image has been so heavily doctored it's hard to tell..

By looking at your other images it seems you fly a lot or are flown... So by this, I would have to say you have a interest in aviation, somewhat.

I hate to say this but with what I know about scanning, and reflections seen when not careful, the 1st pic has me wondering about the other 2 now...

Just IMHO....

It's very good. The model is fantastic....and those EYES. The clothing is great. I DO think it is a tad over-edited. He almost looks like he's made out of clay...a little too fake for my taste. Others may like it though, it's all a matter of personal preference.

Looks good. I can't see anything wrong with it and I can normally spot faults a mile away.

That is awesome. I'm not a pro photographer but to my rookie eye it looks great.

Awesome picture! How did you do it!?!
