Photography final what should I do?

As usual the final in an art class, this case photography, is a self portrait. I always do bad on this because I have such a hard personality to capture in an image. If someone said find pictures that represent your personality I would pick the following: Cat Woman, Rossie the Riveter, A rebel without a cause look, complete with black leather jacket. So any Ideal how to mix these into one image? I respectfully request that suggestions be serious ones, because Im at a dead end and this assignment will be my Final. Thank you!

How much do you want to rebel? How strong a statement do you wish to make?

Strip down, nude, and sit, with your BACK to the camera.

The lack of clothing reflects, perhaps, you dissatisfaction withe the mores pressed upon you by "convention." Turning your back represents your being one stop short of the "ultimate" rebellion, which is suicide.

combining them is to noisy, keep it simple, choose one theme and you will sleep alot better,

so select one of the above you mentioned, and do it with the appropriate lighting

a

Easy.

Put on a Catwoman mask and a biker jacket and grab a great big rivet gun from your local tool rental place. (Don't forget the hose!)

Go somewhere you really like to go -- not gonna suggest anything -- and strike a pose you really feel expresses your attitude.

(I'd shoot it from ground level with a Holga with a wide angle adapter taped on, in a thunderstorm, but that's just me)

Good luck!

Set your camera on timer and shoot a ton of pics. Then choose the one that turns out the best.

How about a self-portrait of just you - no props, masks or references to other characters? Be your true self in front of the lense.

Don't try to be somebody else. What your camera will focus on is YOU. Try different angles and lighting. It will work out.

From what you are decribing, I would try finind a low lit area and one of your favorite outfits (perhaps something dark?) and having half your self in the frame (filling half of it) with your back turned and your face just slightly glancing towards the camera. That's the idea that comes to my mind.

But this is about you. How do you feel about yourself? And how do you want others to see you? I think you should capture your mood, your spirit, more than your personality. That will show anyways.
