I'm taking a photography class, and for our final project, we have to turn in about 10 photos that all have to do with one theme or subject... but I can't think of any ideas. Examples the teacher gave were "time" (and the student took a picture of someone putting money in a parking meter and someone doing the 'time out' sign with their hands) or "portrait of a small town" (take a picture of the mayor, the oldest building in town, etc). So the theme can be very concrete or very abstract.
It CANNOT be a one-time event (like a concert or something) and it has to be something outside of school life, but readily available around here (I live in a small town in the midwest, so obviously I won't be taking pictures of mountains or anything).
Any ideas? I need to turn in my proposal soon! Take a picture of a life cycle where it starts with something and loops back and ends in the same starting point. That would be great. Some thing like recycling paper or a fish growing and making babies. It is always fascinating to see how it loops around. Also black and white with a few areas in color will give a classy look. You could start with a black and white photo for the past and slowly use filters and add colors to each time period and finally a full range of colors.
If you can find a caterpillar you can take till it becomes a butterfly. It only take 10 days.
Good Luck. You could do Fall/ Autumn, or the cycle of life of people and take pictures of people of different ages. |
