Can you critique these self-portraits please?

This is my first time messing around with photography, I thought I'd try some self-portraits...are these any good?
In terms of the lighting, colors, spacing, etc.
What do you think?

Ok.

I can't remember the last time I have seen a really great picture in this forum but number 2 falls into that category.

It also may be one of the best self portraits I have seen.

Here is the trick for really great photographers.. Show less work.
if you get ten photographs at that level and only show those you will open many doors.

edit edit edit..Be ruthless

Good Job you are on your way to something good

the 3rd nd 2nd are HOT
the first..not so much..id pick it as worse(sry)

I really like me 040. The way the light shines off your hair looks great but there is a little too much light in the picture. All in all it is a really good shot.
My least favorite is me 035. The green just isin't looking that great and there is way too much of it.
You show potential in your work so keep it up!

Yes, they're all really wonderful. I'd like to suggest that instead of changing the colours of the photo (like you did in me 035), enhance the colours instead. Changing the colours somewhat takes out the "you" in it. Sharper colours are awesome.

My favorite is me 040.

good job and i think 040 is the best1 but i aint no photographer

i think the me 040 is the best, too bed, their is some shadow on the trunk

I reccomend www.deviantart.com for submitting your artwork and get comments

cheers

number 2 is the best,no worst pic tho. i think you've done really well for a first attempt!i would prob end up with my feet in the shot or miss my face all together..........

Wow, I really liked 2, 3, and 4.
1, too sharp of contrast but good job on lighting on 2-3-4.
Lisa

i relaly like 040... the shades are just right.. very nice!

028, 029 are my pics.

I prefer 040. I don't think you asked this, but the B&W shot is my least favourite.

M.

I like all the colors very interesting to look at. 2nd is the best one, 5th is the worst.

I like these very much. But...

The wild contrast, saturation and tint shifting is such a cliche now that it seriously distracts from the picture.

In fact I'm starting to find it irritating.

I hope people will start turning off the Photoshop and shooting pictures with content again.

Just my 2 cents.

very nice....I like 040 the best for sure...very pretty.

keep it up...Would be awesome if down the line you did some black and white

I actually like 035 the best. Not the green tinge, which I dislike...but the way your skin looks so white and flawless, and the way your makeup enhances your eyes. But, I think it would look better with your head turned slightly with your eyes looking towards the camera. Also that metal bar thing on the right looks like it's protruding from your neck. It should be cloned out. Maybe it would look better in black & white.

035 looks good too, but I would like to see a little more of your face. Also, the tree trunk looks a bit too bright and the shadow (on the trunk) should be cloned out.

Keep experimenting...you have some good ideas.

i like 040, it has this creepy, mysteriosu look to it, great colours and lighting.

have a nice day too.
