I need some ideas, suggestions, help.....? |
I asked this question before but didn't many responses so here i go again.... Okay my friend is getting married and when i saw her in her dress i asked if i could take some pics (Just a hobbie) of her i want them to come out good even though im just doing it as a hobby i still want them to look good. I've taken lots of portraits of my family but nothing like this. I just was wondering if i could get some ideas of where we should take some pics and also what color back drop (i already have black). Maybe some pose ideas. ect. Thanks for the help. Oh yeah her dress is white with a long train and her wedding colors are white and navy blue. These aren't meant to be professional pictures photography is just my hobbie and my friend is just letting me use her just because I don't expect to sell them to her or anything like that its just practice I would imagine then in front of some sort of lake or ocean. Something natural. Make them look natural, like them giving each other cake or drinking wine facing each other. Something that would be to totally cute but maybe impossible would be them walking on the beach. Their backs are facing the camera. They are holding hands alongside the shoreline and are maybe facing the ocean. The picture would need to be in black and white or that brownish and white one (I don't know it's name) Good Luck. To you and the lucky couple check out some other wedding pictures of the bride before the wedding...there are a lot of good ideas in those. like ask your mom or grandma or a family friend who is married. Your beginning backdrop of black is a great choice. If you could get the green backdrop it would be even better. Have you ever tried to change backdrops digitally? I can offer some suggestions on such. Having a woman parading around in a wedding dress is a pain and time consuming. If you have some serious lighting then the studio, whether it be home or otherwise , is the key. Simply change backdrops as needed, digitally. professional photographer Take the photos outside in a natural setting. Check out samples from other photographers at their websites. I wouldn't mess with a backdrop. Watch how you pose everyone, no crossed hands in front of the pants for the guys. Try to have people posed standing at a slight angle to you, makes them look thinner. Use your flash to fill in shadows on faces etc. if you are in bright sunlight or shadows. If she has a long train, I wouldn't bother with a backdrop. Just go with a natural setting like a park or at the church. Keep in mind that this is her wedding dress so you don't want to go anywhere that it will get messed up. Good luck. Go to the library and check out a bunch of books on wedding photography. If your library has them...find ones by Bill Hurter. They are excellent! |
