Where to find inexpensive photography props and clothing? |
I've been doing photography for quite some time now, but am really just getting settled enough to studio photography. I create as much of my own props and such as possible, but I can only do so much. I am looking for formal senior portrait clothing that isn't going to drain my bank account. Also any other sites that might have decent props of any kind would be appreciated too! Go to your nearest thrift store, maybe a Value Village. People will just dump the most gorgeous dresses and retro vintage clothing. I second what T.T. Marie said. Try to find one in an up-scale suburb or one run by a hospital affiliated group. You could also keep an eye out on Craig's list and/or Freecycle. Estate sales are another source. Try Michale's arts and crafts if you haven't a already, just a simple suggestion. but you can buy simple affordable things, such as items to make your own props, and backdrops and cloth for some type of backdrop, just a lot of things in general, i haven't gone there to look for stuff but I'm sure of it there is a lot of things there and if you don't have one in your local area, try a thrift store, a Goodwill store, find ordinary things at stores like, walmart, target, etc. I'm sure of it that you can find bargain Price items that will make your photos look great, and if all else fails a shoot in nature always helps.....hope i helped Okay well what type of senior, Senior class grads.? or the elderly? Just the word photography props triples the price of all products. what I do is check out denny.com for props I like and then make them myself. also ebay.com has some great props cheap. good luck. it is extremely expensive. Oh ya if you want a cool background try virtualbackground.com |
