What is a good cheaper camera for close up portrait photography? |
im looking for something with good macro thats affordable. a while ago i found a canon 560 650? something! i dont remember the number! but it had 1 cm macro which i would LOVE, if anyone knows PLEASE let me know!!! the canon s3 has zero macro it sells for $280 First, you do NOT want a macro lens for portraits - unless your goal is to show any facial blemishes as clearly as possible. Do you really think your subject will be relaxed with you and your camera inches away? The absolute minimum focal length for portraits is 80mm (a 50mm lens if your crop factor is 1.6) so you can keep out of the subject's "personal space" and still get a good head shot. Back in the 35mm film days a portrait lens was any lens between 85mm to 105mm. Note that "good" and "cheap" are almost always mutually exclusive terms. http://www.amazon.com/canon-powershot-di... |
