What are the roles that each reaction play on photography? How are the products of thr reactions used by the idustry? If you mix silver nitrate and sodium chloride you get silver chloride which is a precipitate and is light sensitive. It is mixed with a gel and put on film. If you mix the 2 chemicals and leave it in the light you will see the color change. AgNO3 + NaCl---> AgCl (s)+ NaNO3 See the link below.
