Senior/Graduation project dealing with photography?

Ok, so I'm going into my senior year in high school, and we all have to do these graduation prjects in order to graduate. You have to write a paper dealing with your topic and produce a product.
I would really like to do one involving photography, and I could write my paper on the history of photography, but I can't think of what my product could be. Just taking pictures seems too easy and pointless.
Any ideas? I would appreciate it greatly.

Make a photographic yearbook of your senior year....beginning to end. capture feelings, parties, jobs, friends. make it something you can keep and look back on in years to come. I wish i had something like that!
How about narrow the focus to the changes in photography from the advent of the digital camera.

Sometimes a more focused quesiton will lead to a more in depth study and eliminate the fluff that so often is turned in as a senior project.

Lots of older people hang onto old magazines. Find some "hoarders" in your community, and ask if you can cut out (or even color-copy) magazine covers & old photos from early magazines throughout the century. It'd be a win-win...you'd get the pictures, and they could finally have a rationale for saving those old magazines all those years!!!
