How much would you pay for a wedding photoagrapher? |
I'm curious to find the cost of a professional wedding photographer. I realize the the price varies depending on how many photos are taken. How much did you pay? DId you like the photos? If you are photographer, what would you charge for these pictures P.S. when i get married, i want professional stylistic photos, not ones taken by a friend or amature. I am a professional photographer and I can not stress enough the importance of your pictures. I started doing weddings because too many of my friends had wished they had asked me instead of a student or semi pro. Be care full there are many out there who claim to be pro. Good wedding pictures will cost you money, find a few photographers you like, then talk money. If you are only selecting based on cost you will be dissatisfied. I offer packages that range from a la carte style where the couple pays an hourly rate and receives images on-line and on a disk and can add albums etc later to 7500 packages that contain more than you can dream. When looking at a photographer ask to see examples of album design and pictures. If they don't offer quality albums they are not a pro. Shop around and be flexible a bit with your budget. If you are determined to spend 1000 but the photographer of your dreams is 1600, consider cutting elsewhere or asking someone to help out (parents love good pics to) or ask if you can make the final payment 2 weeks after the wedding with all that gift money you hopefully receive. My grandfather is a professional photographer and he did it for me for free but the minute you say its for a wedding they charage you mega bucks...My grandfather was pretty expensive. I woudln't even hire him lol. 25 cents i am paying over $2000.00 for my pictures~pictures to me are so important including videography as well~those are the onlyy memories you have of your day so they should be worth it~my fiance and i fell in love with our photographer her work is awesome~and most importantly she was nice and was willing to do what we wanted~some will onl do what they want to do~we looked and looked and we are totally happy we are going with her~she's not cheap but nor is she expensive! and I'm sorry i couldn't get through to see the photo's you wanted us to see~ it said page was either changed or temporarily out of order! I agree with you totally i too am looking for a photographer i've been shopping around and so far for the stylistic photos i want its about 1700.00 and that was a referal from my caterer Call around, go to your yellow pages and ask. Be blunt about what you want. Always have a back-up plan too! Prices are going to vary for area and so on and so forth... Don't be shy! I ADORED the woman who took my pictures. She charged $1600 for the package I picked, plus $150 to travel (it was about 2 hours away). In the package I got... 1 Album with every picture (at least 300, up to 500) 2 Parent Albums 1 Fine Art Album All pictures online & avaliable to be ordered Pictures to be used in the newpaper She was there as we were getting ready, didn't leave until my husband & I left. She really did a fantastic job & honestly coached us through things like cutting the cake & such. She was an angel & I can't speak highly enough of professional photoagraphers. They are expensive, but worth every penny. Every picture she took we loved. |
