What's a good place to pose in professional photographs? |
What are some ideas to have my photographer take of me? I decided I want to pick where to get the photos of myself done for my myspace. I'm thinking of mostly getting it done outdoors because it's unique & stunning. Perhaps one in a formal dress in the forest, then one in casual wear on a train track, things like that. Any ideas? Backdrop ideas: sitting in front of or walking into the sunset waterfall mountains tall grass (like surrounding a pond...) tractor in a field bale of hay in front of a barn trees rocks a bridge playground a brick or rock wall rooftop of a city building beach railroad train yard etc... Poses: photographer above shooting down, you leaning on one arm looking up Playing on playground equipment leaning back onto a wall, tree, etc... one foot resting on the same and arms folded sitting on a rock with arms around both knees sitting on rock to the side, back leg down side of rock, front leg propped up on rock (knee up), leaning back on front elbow, other arm resting on thigh on a train step holding the handrail, leaning the rest of your body out with other arm out etc... Facial expressions: Do everything! Smile, serious, sexy, pouty, wink, mischievous, etc... Attire: Where things that express your personality the best. The photographer will get ideas just from the clothes you choose and your personality. Have fun and good luck! Telephone booth Get some Pics at a very dirty and full of dirt Corridor or "callejon" I have take some pics like that and it looks awesome !! You super clean and well dressed surrounded by dirt... Awesome !! :) sports wear on a city bridge (like Michigan Avenue Bridge over the CHicago River), or against the city skyline. Wading In the water of a rocky shoreline In a vineyeard in Napa, CA ALong the cliffs by the golden gate bridge In a rowboat on a lily pad pond I like the formal on the train track... I think that the photographer should have some good ideas. If not, I would reccomend going to a different photographer! |
