Which is the best of the following cameras? |
I'm planning to buy a Digital SLR camera and out of the many options i have i finalized on these 4 now my confusion is which one to go for. 1. Fuji Finepix S9600 2. Canon D50 3. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 4. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 Please tell me which one should i opt and why? Also tell me in these camera can lens be changed or not. Please give reasons why you felt it was the best. I'm expecting answers from Professional photographers / people used these cameras. Thanks in advance... I'd like to see a Canon D50... Nikon makes a model D50, but I can't find anything close in the Canon line. I'm not cracking on YOU, Bacti, but I have no idea how people can tell you that the best one is a camera that does nto exist. If you indeed mean a Nikon D50, it is different from the other three cameras in that it is a digital SLR. The others are what is known as "SLR-like" in that they look pretty much like a dSLR, but the lens is not interchangeable. The other thing that really distinguishes an SLR from the SLR-like cameras is the sensor. In a dSLR, the sensor is almost twenty times larger than the sensor in the lesser cameras. This translates into much better image quality. Since I am not positive if you are refering to a Nikon D50 or a Canon 5D, which I highly doubt, I won't comment on either camera needlessly. EITHER ONE is superior to the other three listed. The Canon 5D is quite a bit better than the Nikon D50, also. Here is a comparison page, in case you have not seen it yet. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_... Click on "In-depth review" and "Read Owner Opinions" for each camera. Be sure to note that the reviews are many pages long so you don't stop after page one. Check the sample images, also. You can enlarge these to full size images if you click on the file name shown below the picture. You will have to then put your cursor in the white space to the right of the picture and click once. After that, you can pass your cursor over the image and it will turn into a magnifier. Click it as a magnifier once and the image will go to full size and you can really examine the detail or look for artifacts like fringing or noise. Of the other three, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 is the clear winner, but if you are going to spend that much money ($470 for the camera alone), I'd much rather see you buy a digital SLR. If you can't get into the Nikon D40 range ($550 without a card), I'd at least like to see you check into the Pentax K100D and a lens, which would sell for about the same as the FZ50 and also includes image stabilization, which Pentax calls "shake reduction." canon is the best.. smallest and most reliable. I used www.cameras.co.uk before buying my camera, it has excellent reviews of many cameras, also compares images they have taken under different conditions so you can compare the actual quality of them. http://www.cameras.co.uk/html/sample-ima... Okay, I like canon D50. Have one, easy, small. You can load it quicker. My lens can change. I'm in photography (for journalism, you have to learn the cameras) and it's easy on the move. And if your running, it doesn't blurr. ~SELLENIAH~ u r looking for a DSLR camera??? .... with lenses interchanging feature ?????......so u have to exclude the fuji and panasonic models u mentioned coz they r not DSLR cameras (((can't change lenses with them))). about the canon model u mentioned ... i think u r confused with nikon D50 .....there's no such a model with canon DSLRs ...... i don't think u mean the canon 5D coz it's a pro-level DSLR ((i don't advise u to go with such a pro camera ...since it may cost about 2500-3000$ for the body only and need a pro photographer to go with it)) so u finalized ur research with one camera which is nikon D50 ((if u meant it)).....it's a great entery level DSLR and u never go wrong with it or any other nikon DSLRs ..... it was better to mention the budget u r planning to spend on the camera so we can give more options in ur price range . anyway if we consider the price range of th d50 we will end with the followings ((nikon d40,d50,d70 and canon eos 350d )). i mentioned only nikon and canon coz they r the top line brands in DSLRs world ...... and if u r planning to spend more money so go with the nikon D80 or canon eos 400d . and to be honest with u my choice is nikon and it's still up to u .... again i'll advise u to stick to nikon or canon .....good luck I have worked in camera sales and photography for years I have 4 canon cameras including the eos 20d. go for canon i have used all of these. canon makes a model called the rebel or rebel xt or rebel xti but nikon makes the d50 |
