Unidentified rock pool creature recently photographed in Australia. Anybody help ? |
A friend of mine is a professional photographer of plants in Australia and has recently taken a picture of an ususual blue coloured creature some 4 inches long like a sea plant living in a rock pool near Sydney in Australia. It appears to be like a sort of anemone. It moves only slowly. Can anyone possibly identify it ? I can send photograph to any interested person if they can provide an email address. i agree "like a sort of anemone", nudibranchs have cool tenticals "moves very slowly", 1 it moves, so its not an anenomy 2 nudibranchs are gastropods like snails & slugs (and they move slow dont they!) well spoted, i love nudibranchs they are realy cool i think there is a swimming veriaty that is called "the flamenco dancer" send a pic to: atlantic_surf@hotmail.co.uk and i will confirm it for you if you want? Might it be a nudibranch? http://www.seaslugforum.net/factsheet.cf... http://images.google.com/images?&num=10&... Sounds like a nudibranch to me, they come in lots of fab colours, look like a pretty slug! Probably a nudibranch( aka.sea slug) or sea cucumber. Send it to elitetrooper459@yahoo.com |
