Why won't my digital camera automatically set correct brightness levels? |
I have a Fujifilm F700. It is set to Auto. But outdoor pictures are way overexposed. I read the 153 page manual! I played with shutter speed, aperture, manual settings, etc. but nothing is working. You apparently must be a professional photographer or rocket scientist to read the manual and set this thing. Can you ( in words a kindergartner could understand) state the step-by-step directions to fix this? Or is the camera possibly wonky? Thank you! go into menu and find reset then start experimenting I don't have that camera but in mine it takes two stages to press the button. A soft press assesses the light, etc. and then a full press takes the picture. If that is so with yours, perhaps you are jabbing down in one hard press. try puting shutter speed on B (BULB) and hold it down on a tripod as you wish try it :) http://www.rafpilot.deviantart.com/... there is some pics of mine, you can see the ones i have done in the dark.. e.g zombie emergence. Fujifilm F700 was released in 2003 if you bought it in 03 or 04 its has possibly had its better days. The time of day also has alot to do with lighting the best outside pictures are taken before 10:30am and between 3 and 6 pm. The camera has alot to do with it though, some cameras are alot more difficult to operate than others. I would suggest a new camera; most of the newer models have better automatic features and are more user friendly. email us at PhotographersLimited@yahoogrou...
