Choosing a Career Path?

My husband is a successful retail manager, and we may have to move to accommodate his company and his promotions. I'm a college grad, BS in photography. I don't feel that I have enough knowledge of the field to be a professional photographer. I'm actually torn between artistic fields and scientific fields. My salary now is upper $30K. I want to be able to make as much as I do now where ever we go. I have experience in a lot of job fields. Office, clerical, retail, I鈥檓 currently a Production Coordinator working with copiers and book binding.

What can I go to school for that I can find a job almost anywhere? I've thought of graphic design (computers..etc), or maybe a medical technician.

You would be better off going for a graphic designer, however I know that as a photographer you cna make more. Start by doing weddings and move up to portrait work then if you have to approach schools and local sports teams,(little league and soccer teams), to do their team pictures. My brother in law makes around 70k a year doing this and is constantly busy. Good Luck
Things in the medical field are in demand just about EVERYWHERE. And getting a second bacc is a lot easier than the first! You don't have to do much / any of your GE!

You might consider taking a skills assessment like Meyers-Briggs - these tests help you determine how your skills & interests fit into different careers. (I know I love helping people, but personally have a phobia about shots - so I could never be in medicine ... things like that!) But, even with that, there are careers in the medical field that are a lot more like office work!

Best of luck!
Years in HR.
anywhere, anyplace, what ever in medical field is needed. that is in my opinion
