Photography in Italy?

I am an intermediate/professional photographer and I will be traveling to northern Italy for 2 weeks in June. I will have about 3-4 days that I would like to spend going to scenic areas to take some photographs. I would like to get off the beaten path and take some photos of the beautiful mountains and the lakes in northern Italy, similiar to this one... http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/5...

I am staying on the northern end of Lake Garda, specifically Torbole. Are there any beautiful lakes other then Lake Garda that are similiar to the one above that are fairly close to where I am staying? I do not mind paying to travel as long as it is not too expensive. Any help or suggestions would be a big help.

Thanks.

Hi!
If I were you, I would not miss the lago di Como.
The "Orrido di Nesso" is in my opinion one of the most pittoresque places on the lake.
It's the place where two brooks meet and form a cascade.
The vegetations is luxurious and you can admire the Orrido from a medieval bridge,
It is so beautiful that taking bad pictures is practically impossible! ;)
If you want you can see some pictures on

Let me know how it goes!
I don't have an answer to your question but your photograph is incredibly beautiful - a work of art! Good luck!
I would advise you MAggiore lake but maybe 3-4 days are not enough. There is a very small lake not so far from where you're staying that looks like the one of your link. It's called Carezza lake, Bolzano. Here is a link where you can find some pictures: http://www.skiforum.it/_photo/lago-carez... and also http://www.lorett.info/lagocarezza.htm...
I hope you lke it. Dolomiti mountains have a lot of breathtaking places too where you can take wonderful pictures.
P.S. congratulation for your work!
get yourself a good map, rent a car and shoot to hearts content. you will be close to heaven up there.
Beautiful photos. My favourite lake is lake Orta but it is a fair distance away from Garda. I would love to use some of your photos on my site if they are like the ones you show here - fantastic,
