Collage/photography/ art degree? |
ok so i want to be a professional photographer.. do i need to get a degree in arts or what? what do i need? what are some good collages i can go to? how long do i have to go to school for? please help.. thanks While art is an important aspect of being a great photographer, it is more of an enhancement rather than a prerequisite. Here is a list of the top photography schools. Each has its own version of "art" however the most important aspect is to learn how to replicate your "art" rather than having it be an artistic event that you will never see again. The technical aspect of photography is drilled into you so that in the end, the camera is an extension of your eye and creative being. In alphabetic order they are as follows: Art Center, Pasadena, California Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, California Cal Arts, (California Institute of the Arts) Valencia, California Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York If you already have an AA degree in something relating to the arts, the courses will take about two to three years to complete and receive a degree. While the degree itself may not be the magic to get you in to a successful career, the training is.
