Has anyone ever hired Bella Pictures to shoot their wedding? Would you recommend? |
My husband and I were planning a small wedding and were just going to have our friends take pictures, but we recently changed our minds and want to get a professional photographer. Our wedding is really soon in late July (yikes!) and many photographers in the St. Louis area are booked solid. I came across a company called Bella Pictures - they have availability, and apparently they match you with a photographer based on the style you want. Has anyone ever used them before? Did you have a good experience? Their prices seem really reasonable and I liked the stuff on their website, but I'd love to hear some personal opinions. Thanks! I used bella pictures. I had a fantastic photograher, and my pictures came out better than I had hoped they would. 8 hours of coverage was plenty, and the photographer also traveled to 4 locations with no extra charges. They have packages and add ons to suit whatever you need. We received the DVD with our digitial negatives in 30 days, whereas friends have said it took several months to get theirs from other photographers. Our photographer had a back up camera with him. Speak with one of their consultants about what you want, they will match you with a package. There are prints and a certain amount of cropping and retouching incuded in the packages in addition to the album as well. The other thing I really liked was that everything was handled by email. It was a few less phone calls I had to make or meetings I had to deal with. It was much more convenient for me, and I was really happy with the price as well. My wedding was 3/17/07 in Tampa Bay, FL. I am not from your area and have never seen Bella Pictures work or anything in person, but I found their site and checked them out for you. I am a professional photopgrapher and can tell you to concider a few things....but their photo's look good and they are digital which is a must. *They only provide 8 hours of coverage. Will this cover you getting ready, the ceremony, and all of the reception? *What is included in their packages as far as pictures goes. I see that they provide an album, but are there photos in it or do you have to print your own? We privide a set # of prints in all of our albums. *How many copies of the DVD's will you receive with your photo's? *What is the charge for cropping? This is quite simple and we never charge for it. *How many photopgraphers do you get? And, lastly, do they bring backup equiptment? We always send 2 photographers, and 3 cameras. Congratulations!!! Professional Photographer www.movingpicturesmp.com My sister used them for her wedding in March 2007 and both photographers were so accomadating. First of all, we have a huge family with a lot of kids, so you can imagine there was a lot of chaos. However, the photographer was very patient and made my sister feel at ease the whole time by being in the right place at the right time. We got the pictures back really fast and they were amazing. I can't wait until she makes her album. We used the guy who owns Lifetime Photos for our wedding and he's really good and cheap. We have him take pictures of our son ever so often too. http://www.lifetime-photo.com I have some experience with Bella Pictures....I know four couples who are in different stages with them and none of them are happy right now. The first one had her wedding in April and is having a tough time getting the post production work done, the other had her wedding 2 weeks ago and the photographer was horrible needless to say the third and fourth couples whose weddings are coming up are very anxious. If you aren't looking for a personal/touchy-feely experience then they might work out. Keep in mind the photos you see online are the 'best of the best' NOT always what you can expect from the local Bella photographer. |
