Flickr or Webshots? |
My account on pixagogo expired & I was thinking of switching to a new photo site anyway. I am torn between Flickr & Webshots. I've used Webshots in the past, and was happy with it. Flickr seems to be a wonderful site too, but it looks like it's geared more towards professional photographers. Is there anyone on Flickr that isn't a photographer & just shares photos? Flickr is not just for pros as you say, its for anyone, and now part of yahoo for users to use, so try it out as well, http://www.flickr.com/ Webshots http://www.webshots.com/ Ringo http://www.ringo.com/ Photobucket http://photobucket.com/ ImageShack http://reg.imageshack.us/ Gickr gif maker, http://gickr.com/ .. I just joined Flickr today so I could post a few photos for friends without using an FTP site. They allow a very large view of your file, if desired. I've used a couple of other sites that turn every picture into a mediocre mish mash that could have been taken with a cell phone camera, no matter how glorious it was when you submitted it. Flickr seems pretty good and it is very easy to upload, etc. I am not a pro. I have a free membership that limits my files to 5 MB per file, but that's actually pretty generous for most anything I shoot and edit from a 10 MP camera. |
