What is the best digital camera for an amateur photographer wanting to get into professional photography? |
I can probably spend around $200 to $300 dollars. I need a camera that takes great photos for a cheaper than professional price. This is the perfect camera for you, it won't break the bank and you can operate in auto or manual mode so you can get some good experience of working a camera.. I seen on sale for as low as $161 this past week.. That's a tall order. There are many cameras that will have image quality that's good enough for most 'pro' work- but showing up at a job with a tiny digicam -you won't be taken seriously. Perhaps something like the Fuji S6000fd for ~$300. It's got some heft, as well as a great manual zoom that covers 28-300mm, stellar image quality and it's in your price range. It looks pretty good too. It does lack a flash hotshoe- which, depending on the kind of photography you intent to do, is rather essential. On-board flash should be avoided!! Hey Lil Miss, Thanks for considering me to answer your questions on Photography... I read both your questions and also the answers that other users have given.... They have supplied you with all the information that I'd like to give you... The only personal opinion I can provide you with is that, if you haven't really started with photography as of yet, go for a camera around 5 megapixels and the make of Canon or Nikon... Not Sony.. After you get accustomed to using ALL the manual operative features that are available on your camera like the Programmed Shutter, Aperture priority and other settings, you can go for buying a more expensive SLR camera if your budget permits you... And always keep one thing in mind, higher megapixel won't always provide you with a better photograph...
