What is the best way for me to find a professional photographer to take pictures of me so I can start building my portfolio? And should this be my first step? Experience in front of the camera used by many different photographers is the first step. It need not be expensive First of all, make sure that the person is not operating out of their home. Photos for a portfolio, and gaining experience in front of a camera is always a good thing for a new model.
