How much should i charge for photography?

I was recently offered a job as a photographer to take pictures of a wedding. My teacher recommended me to a lady getting married and It's just for an hour and they really don't have a professional photographer at their wedding. The bride wants me to offer a price, what should it be? So far people have been telling me a hundred.

I also haven't started a portfolio but im i have an eye for getting good pics.

are you selling prints or giving a CD? Have you considered your copyrights? I think that if you've got no portfolio you can't compare your prices to those of professionals in your area. Someone who can prove themselves before the wedding obviously commands a better price. If you make your prices like theirs, why would they hire a novice? I'd say $100 if you're going to sell them the prints (give them proofs with the word PROOF written across them) then price your prints at, say, $5 for a 5x7 and $10 for an 8x10. Remember that the aspect ratios are different in each of those and you have to zoom out a bit to allow room to crop.

If you're just giving them a CD, you could charge between $200-300, depending on your equipment and how confident you feel about not messing anything up.

Whatever you decide, study up on wedding customs and talk with them in detail about their ceremony so you'll know where to position yourself and not miss anything important, like the groom walking in while you're busy snapping the bride.

Good luck and have fun!

Call up the local photographers and ask for their rates. You'll also get an idea of how they approach their potential clients.
You're new. I would not recommend this job, but if you must, get some liability insurance and backup gear.
Two choices: budget way or full service package.
I'd say an even $500 for your time and a CD without prints and walk away. Be sure to get a contract signed with the bride's understanding of all factors involved. Once you have your portfolio built up, offer packages only...three at most, gold, silver and basic package.

$2,000 is the starting rate ... plus photos. For the money they get you to show up and shoot between 75 and 100 shots of the wedding and supply them a CD of "proofs" that are low resolution and watermarked.

You will make your money selling prints ... what you need to keep replacing your equipment every three to four years.

Yes, I agree, Hundred Pesos is fair.

Make sure that the people know that you are somewhat new and what they can expect. Know your equipment and practice a little portraiture before you go.
