Can 35mm slides be made into prints or notecards??

I have tons of beautiful 35mm slides that my Dad, who was a professional photographer, took between 1940-1995. Is there a way to have them converted into prints suitable for framing? Also - is there a way to have these images made into notecards or stationery?

About how much would this cost??

Another alternative that I chose was to invest in a scanner for films and,because of the large number of slides involved scan them into digital formats myself.This proved cheaper although I do have time these days.The files can then be sent to a professional lab for the reprographic mass production.While the mass scanning of slide is available commercially there is no substitute for careful one to one scanning.The small specks of dust and ravages of time can be processed out but there is no substitute for the individual processing of every image,that's if you can afford the time.

The lab I use is great they will process all the slides for me then let me pick out the ones I want scanned so I can save money. It's about .99 a scan and can get expensive so like said before buying a slide scanner may be a good investment and save you money.

You need to have them scanned and then you can make prints from them. They usually charge a small fee per slide.
