How much should I pay for a photoshoot?

I have a friend who is doing some headshots for me, and I'd like to pay him something possibly. How much would be appropriate? How much do full blown professionals charge? He is not an actual professional, but he is a great photographer. Any ideas and suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Anywhere From 100-400$ For A Shoot.

Depending on how professional he/she think she is. However, you say that he is a friend to you, and you're going to give him somewhat of a 'tip' right? That's all it has to be, a 'tip'. Which isn't that expensive in the first place. I'm not a pro, but if were to be tipped from a friend, i'd expect something like 30$ or something, that you can use for a fancy dinner or something. Afterall, he's just being a 'friend' right?

Don't ask him how much he wants, it'll make him feel awkward, i know from experience.

Depends. how good he is, what type of camera he uses, how many pictures he gives you, and sizes. 1 wallet size should be 3$, add 1$ per size. OR ask what he would like. :D
well this is what i think. =)

i do stuff for my friends for free. It depends on how close you are to this guy, and how good he is. I could see an average "professional" from a company getting 100-200 dollars.
