Newborn photography??

i am having a friend come over tomorrow to take pictures of my newborn, does anyone have any unique ideas of poses or props i could use?? she has a professional camera so the pics will turn out great

white thick blankets..
feathers
holding your baby in your hands and kissing the baby..
angles from the top are always nice.

lots of light, and nature scenery. maybe you could go outside.

aww that's sooo cute!! i'd go for as much white as possible--it'll make youor baby look like an angel. it looks sooo pure and clean-plus its winter do it goes with the snow theme.

Congrats Mommy! I always love the pics of mom or dad's hands cradling baby's head - it makes the baby look so small and cute :)

Also, if she can get a pic of baby yawning, that would be so cute! I LOVE baby yawns!

the thing with baby's is they are baby's. you can't do much with them. They are better after they have been cleaned feed and watered if you know what I mean. do some mother baby shots that is a nice thing also close up of eyes mouth hands and feet ect
If you are not confident just shoot lots and you will get something good

Do you have pets? I love pics of babies and animals. Assuming they're safe, of course.

The baby pictures I love, would have to be feet. I love seeing the babies feet with it's moms or dads. Lots of white and light 'pure' colors are fun with babies. you could do some dark colors just to play with it. and I agree, yawning babies are the cutest!
