When I go to device manager it tell me to do the wizard and after that nothing still has happen, I uninstalled about 6 or more times. I need drivers for Samsung CD-ROM SC 1483, Hitachi DVD-ROM GD 2000, now it also tells me that my moden is not working, which we know that is not so, also it tells me the my generic digital camera is not working, I can't put the CD in because my system is not seeing it. Thedevice manager keeps telling me that the drivers on already on my PC, can anyone please give me a step by step process. I am willing to call you if needed, I am a disable online student and I need to get my assignment of the CD, please any help I will apprecite, thank you

Ok - check in my computer -are your devices shown in here?

But try these things first

(I know you have uninstalled the drives before - but just go through these steps - make sure you uninstall all of the hardware that is throwing out the codes in step 1)
<<<<<STEP 1 >>>>>>
Right click on my computer the click properties - click hardware then device manager - click on the plus next to cd/dvd rom drives

right click on the offending drive then click uninstall

click ok and the warning

<<<<<STEP 2>>>>>>>
now click on the plus next to the ide ata/atapit controllers

ignore the primary and secondary channels

right click on the one that says controller - then uninstall - click ok on the warning then click yes to restart

when pc restarts it will say found new hardware and after a while the pc will ask you to restart again - restart

test your drive does this work

<<<<STEP 3>>>>>>
If not -is you drive shown in my computer ? if not then you may have a problem with the windows registry - a program may have added upper and lower filters.

if it is shown then this will not be the problem.

BEFORE ALTERING THE WINDOWS SYSTEM REGISTRY - CREATE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT.

Click start then run - type regedit - on the left click on the PLUS next to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >then SYSTEM > THEN CurrentControlSet > then Control > then Class > Look for a Value that starts with 4d3 (and loads of other numbers and letters) ends with 318 - you may have more that one - when highlighted there should be some values in the right hand pane - if you have lower and upper filters in there - right click on them a delete each - then click on file and exit and then restart your computer.

Also in the device manager double click on the primary id channel - then click on the advance settings - make sure both devices have for thier transfer mode DMA iF available

Give these a try

What type of PC is it? Dell what?

Try this first.

1. Boot to a dos prompt. At the prompt type "chkdsk /f" press enter......

2. Boot PC in Safe Mode - Go to the Device Manager and remove all CD / DVD drives listed........reboot

If ur Net Still Wrkin....Go 2 ....www.softpedia.com..................u can Download all the Drivers in tat......or Else go2.....www.alldrivers.com................. Fun
