I am very confused. Can someone help :[ ?

I have a Samsung Digimax A402 Digital Camera. I would like to put my video clips on Youtube. I have a USB. ((and when I plug it in nothing about a digital camera goes into my "MY COMPUTER" file! I read similar questions and they all say "use firewall" or "buy firewall" or something along those lines. Now call me dumb but isnt that the thing that protects your computer? Please help me! Obviously I am not a computer type of gal [[please be spacific!]]

Well i guess your question is how to transfer files from Digicam to Computer. and then upload to Youtube.
I don't know what 'firewall' has to do with this. and why people would have answered so.

So, connect your camera to computer (with usb you have).
if you get a Picture/Image transfer wizard, good follow it. If you don't get it, try to explore your computer. (by double clicking on My Computer).
If you see a camera icon ( or any extra drive icon than usual) then open it and copy all images and paste them in to the folder where you want them to be.

Open YouTube stie in the browser, and when you try to upload it you might get a 'select file' or 'choose file' kind of dialog box. select all those files which you have copied from camera.

this way you can upload your picture from digicam to YouTube.

if you use usb cable, there should driver to connect your DIGITAL CAMERA to PC, but there only if your camera take usb cable, otherwise still need firewall to load the video clips, cuz usb only for picture, not for sound, or, may be you can try memory card reader load, but not sure

To transfer video from a MiniDV camcorder you need a firewire card - a firewall is completely different. That doesn't help you much though because you're not using a MiniDV camcorder! I'd expect the camera to show up when it's plugged in via USB - have you, checked that cables are properly plugged in etc. Is the camera switched on? It shouldn't matter, but have you installed the DigiMax software that comes with the camera?

I've just seen a review that said it was easy to upload pictures "once the driver was installed".
