What's the best AA batteries to use in a digital camera? |
Ihave a samsung digimax s500 If you're set on using disposable batteries, consumer reports did a test and they found the best AA batteries (in terms of life) are the energizer litihium batteries. Rechargable ones!!! I would suggest using energizer rechargable betteries in you digital camers. AA batteries have a higher voltage that rechargable batteries 1.5 to 1.2 respectively his can be harmful in some cameras. The Ni-MH rechargeables are extremely good, and in fact carry more of a charge than the disposables these days. Some of those and a 1-hr recharger (around $19) will do a real good job for you. I find the recharger in the camera itself is much inferior, and usually does not know when to shut off, destroying the batteries. For mine I purchased some rechargeable batteries. I have 8 batteries in total, so I always have the spare ones with me. Good idea and this investment quickly pays off after a couple of charges. i buy a good ol value pack of energizers."it keeps going&going.." The best are rechargeable NiMH batteries. I would go with Rayovac 15 min Nimh batteries or try there new hybrid charger system, there hybrids hold the charge alot longer then regular Nimh. NI-MH AA at 2100 MAH or higher Duracell I use rechargeable ones for mine. |
