Camera memory stick?

i have a samsung camcorder/digital stillshot camera that takes a samsung memory stick. however i have a sony memory stick of the same size, but it says not formatted when i put it in the camera. is there anyway that i can format it to work?

in the handbook it says that all memory sticks are sony anyway so i dont think it matters. plus i have a 256 mb memory stick made by sony that works in the same camera. i think there is just a problem with it being a dual stick.

Sony cameras uses Memory Stick (only good for Sony cameras), Samsung cameras uses SD memory (different format, but compatible with many other cameras)
