What's wrong with the my camera and the batteries?

I just bought a Samsung s630 digital camera and only alkaline batteries work. (AA)
So, I put them on and then 8 minutes later....the battery sign shows that my battery is almost empty....and then a minute later it says Battery dead.

What's wrong? I keep putting new ones in and then the same thing happens!

My friend suggested I get Duracell Power Pix....will that work? Please help!

my daughter just bought one
you need to get rechargeable AA batteries
they last a long time

That type of camera eats batterys, take it back!

Try rechargable batteries in your camera. The same thing happened to my camera and those batteries worked.

You need rechargable NiMH batteries instead of Alkaline. Preferably with 2650 mAh. They will stay the course!

Hey Newyorkhomey, take it from me someone who left the Bronx yrs ago, follow the advise of ab63n22. You need AA rechargeables. If that doesn't work it's your camera. BUT I doubt it's your camera!

sometimes you can have a short in the camera , even though its new, this happens , a short in unit will drain everything you put in no matter what it is.
