Is there a way to put and watch a video on my Samsung Digimax s1000 thats not recorded on it ?

I want to put a movie or a video thats not recorded with my digital camera Samsung Digimax s1000 on it ( digital camera) ... I tried to put a movie ( avi file ) but no success .... is there a way for converting ... actually is it possible ? Or what should I do ... there is a way , there always is .....

I don't want to put DVD on it... I want to put a simple video... I just want to watch something on my camera cause I am going on a long trip soon....
